Website

Pictured above is the home screen for the Halfshell website.  I wanted to keep it really clean with a white background.  The pictures match the pictures on the brochure and will be updated seasonally along with brochures.  The top gold bar will be locked and stay at the top of the screen as the user scrolls down.  The top, and the bottom have the contact information, but the "Contact Us" tab will list more contact information (i.e. peoples names in different departments, fax number, office hours, etc...)

Advertising 3- Social Media- Instagram

The Social Media outlet I chose was Instagram due to its overwhelming popularity.  Currently trending in the Instagram world are food accounts, which is why I thought this would be a good idea.  Each caption would end with the hashtag #HalfShellBoston so customers can click on the hashtag and see all the restaurants' pictures, as well as customer's who posted their own pictures.

A link for the Instagram account is: www.instagram.com/halfshellboston

Below are screenshots of the account progress so far

Advertising 2- Ad

This magazine AD is specifically designed for Scout Magazine: Boston.  The dimensions and rounded edges comply with Scout's Magazine dimensions.  Scout Magazine includes local restaurants, and the ads generally consist of a large image with minimal copy.  I tried to incorporate the "eat local" feeling that is now trending and fit's with the Scout Magazine's theme of supporting local businesses.  The picture chosen reflects how close the food is to the river, implying freshness.  The Half Shell normally uses dark tones with gold, however I chose whites and light grey for this ad to market more towards women, who would most likely be looking at the Scout magazine.

Advertising 1- Billboard

This billboard design is to further market Half Shell as a local and fresh oyster bar.  I wanted part of the woman to go beyond the standard billboard size to get the attention of the viewer and make the images more realistic.  I wanted to get across the idea that the oysters are harvested and almost instantly served at the Half Shell.  The gold bar across the bottom was to unify the images more and an area for the text to go without too much going on in the background.  I struggled most with the placement of the text to get it to show up enough from far away.  My main concern is that these images are too detailed to view from a billboard.

Brochure

The first attachment is the sleeve this brochure would be mailed in, for customers who has signed up to be on the mailing list.  Most of the brochures would sit in the restaurant and local businesses for anyone to take.  The oyster is cut out, and because the front cover of the brochure is plain gold, the cut out appears gold when the brochure is inside.  The sleeve is 7 x 5 in, slightly bigger so the brochure will fit snug when inside.

The attachment below is the printing template for the 6 page, double sided brochure.  The dimensions of each page are 6.75 x 4.75 inches.  The brochures are printed seasonally.  These pages include a map of the area, a written description about the Half Shell with a customer testimonial, Special Events during the upcoming season, contact information, a picture of the dining room, a picture of a food item, the seasonal cocktail, information about the chef, a fact about the oysters, and the front cover.   The special events, seasonal cocktail and fact about the oysters are the pages that would change seasonally.

The following images show the what you would see in the series of unfolding this brochure.

Envelope

This is the print template for the business card.  The outside of the envelope consists of the 3 logo colors.  The inside of the envelope includes another layer of gold foil glossy insert that is attached to the envelope, making the envelope more sturdy and giving it a more upscale feeling.  The glossy insert has a stamp of the oyster from the logo on the top, so when you open the envelope it is the first thing you see.  The picture below shows what the envelope will look like when assembled.

Business Card

This Half Shell business card would be printed on a textured cardstock.  It includes all the contact information for the restaurant.  Only the oyster on the front would have a sheen, and the rest of the business card would be matte.  The front of and the card and the back of the card are in different directions to made it more interesting, but because the design is so simple, I do not think it makes the business card confusing.
